My Bio
Fátima Pereira da Silva has completed advanced studies in Psychology (corresponding to a PhD) in Psychology of Labor Organizations and Human Resources, a Master degree in Pedagogical Psychology (Coimbra University) and a higher specialized qualification in the Executive Program for Public Management in Road Safety (Juan Carlos University –Spain).
She has been a professor in the Polytechnic of Coimbra/Higher Education School (Portugal) for twenty years and coordinator and researcher of the Project on Human Factors and Road Safety (IPC II2A/ROBOCORP / ESEC Lab - UNICID / ASSERT).
Fátima Pereira da Silva is an active member of the following International Organizations: ICADTS (Executive Board Member at Large); European Workplace Drugs Testing Society (EWDTS) - Executive Board and Network Committee; Traffic Psychology International (TPI); German Society for Traffic Psychology (DGVP); Consortium of Adolescent Road Safety (CADROSA); International Cooperation on Theories and Concepts in Traffic Safety (ICTCT) and Asian Institute of Research (Education Quarterly Reviews- Editorial Board).
She is acknowledged by the Portuguese Psychologist Association (PPA) as a specialist in the field of Labour, Social and Organizational Psychology and she is a member of the work committee on Traffic Psychology Issues, where she actively collaborated in the construction of guidelines on Traffic Psychology. She currently works on the definition of guidelines for Traffic Psychologists related to the assessment for fitness to drive (PPA). She also integrated the Technical Commission for Adaptation of NP. ISO 39001: 2017 (Portugal) -CTA , with the National Authority for Road Safety., and currently she is part of the Technical Commission CT 148 (Transport - Logistics and Services for Road Safety).
Fátima Pereira da Silva has been a researcher, consultant, reviewer, speaker, integral part in scientific committees and involved in the organization of conferences about: alcohol, drugs and traffic safety (with young people); driving and mental workload; and sustainability, among other topics related to quality in mobility scenarios.
In 2019 she was awarded the following prizes:
- Entrepreneurship Award from the International Association of Entrepreneurial Women Europe/Africa - 02/2020
- Citizenship Award - Alcoa Golden Gala (Alcobaça /Portugal) - 04/2020
- Best Practices/Excellence in Road Safety Awards 2019 (European Commission/European Road Safety Charter) for the drink driving awareness campaign in Portugal as Director/Mentor of ideas and projects at InOutCister, Lda.
