Become a Member of ICADTS

ICADTS welcomes professionals from around the world who contribute to the field of alcohol, drugs, and traffic safety.

You can apply for membership if you have a demonstrated record of work or accomplishments in the multidisciplinary field of alcohol, drugs, and traffic safety. This may include contributions in areas such as research, policy development, program management, law enforcement, toxicology, mental health practice, or the judiciary.

Members have full voting rights and may stand for election within the Council.

How to apply

To become a Member:

1. Complete the online application form below
2. Upload a short bio and a curriculum vitae
3. After review and approval by the Executive Board, your membership becomes active once dues have been paid

ICADTS Membership – Terms and Payment 

Membership options:

• One-Year Membership: Membership fee is $100 per year.

• Three-Year Membership: Membership fee is $270 for 3 years 

Regardless of the chosen option, the membership becomes active upon payment and covers the remainder of the current calendar year (grace period*) plus the entire following year. For example, if a member joins and pays in September 2024, the rest of 2024 is free, and the payment covers membership for 2025. 

Membership renewal and Payment Deadline

To maintain active membership, fees must be paid before April 1 of the year for which the membership applies. If payment is not received within 6 months after the due date (i.e., by October 1), the membership will be automatically terminated.

Reinstatement Policy
Members who wish to rejoin after termination must pay a reinstatement fee of $50 in addition to the regular membership fee.  The grace period for partial years does not apply to reinstated members.

*This grace period applies only to first-time members. If a membership is terminated and the individual rejoins later, the grace period no longer applies.
